Few animals strike fear into human hearts the way these mammoth-toothed ocean monsters can. By now, many people have come to learn that these enormous predators are not the savage beasts that the horror movies so often portray. Most kids have begun to learn that the white shark is in fact highly intelligent, inquisitive, and above all, shy. Few locations offer the ability to witness these gentle giants on their own turf like Guadalupe island. And this is where the team travels, on an intelligence mission to rediscover and study the whites in their most raw form, right after a two year hiatus from all human contact, as a result of covid quarantine restrictions on visits to the island. Be the first to meet and learn the nature of the white sharks, the greatest of all sharks.

Next Up: Mystery of White Shark Island!

Most children at one point dream of embarking on a journey deep below the ocean surface, to discover the world that exists beyond the depths to which humans normally venture. Connor is one of the few children to have had the rare opportunity to travel into this twilight zone, and beyond. Where the only light that exists is created from life itself. Take a seat alongside him and his dad as they drop into the abyss aboard a research sub, on a mission to discover a mysterious life form that has been sabotaging  observation cameras at the eerie depth of one thousand feet. It’s an experience few people, let alone children, have had, and a dream come true for one small but bold ocean explorer.

Turtles and Why We Love Them

Jellyfish! Even the name brings squeamish sounds of both fear and delight to the young and young at heart. These are far and away one of the most successful animals to ever swim Earth’s oceans, made even more amazing when one considers that they don’t even possess a brain. During this course, our young explorers deep dive into the world of jellies… literally. Encounters with these creatures are nearly unavoidable, as they exist in various bizarre forms in nearly all bodies of water. The team studies and often swims alongside or even through a wide variety of these squishy creatures, taking caution to avoid the stingy dangly bits. It’s like a journey to an alien planet, right here within Earth’s varied oceans.

Long live the Jellies!

Of course courses on epic ocean animals simply must include these amazing creations! Whales are in fact the largest species to exist on this planet…EVER! Luckily for the team, these immensely sized and immensely wise creatures regularly swim at and around their home base. Join in as the team sets out with local whale experts to bear witness and pay homage to a variety of whale types. Learn about a new, ongoing challenge whales are facing: large boat collisions. Learn how wise mothers scheme and act to escort their newly birthed children through the complex gauntlet of both man and nature-made obstacles to reach safe havens. It’s a whale of a tale!

Whale of a Tale

Dolphin Fun!

Yep! That’s about the scope of it! The story of the dolphin along California’s coastal waters is nothing short of an incredible feel-good story of conservation success! A shining example showcasing just how well a population can thrive when mankind simply allows these animals to do what they exist to do. Whoever says animals can’t experience joy in the way humans do has obviously never encountered a super pod of dolphins in person. Dolphins are some of the most social and playful animals ever. But don’t take our word, come with us and see for yourself as you engage with these joyous creatures both above and below the surface in a variety of ocean encounters! Unforgettable!
